Inclusive Basic Services Delivery and Livelihood Empowerment Program in North East States - Consulting Services for Establishment of a Comprehensive Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Investment Plan (Zone B)

Project Description

The objective of the assignment is to develop a national investment plan for Water Supply and Sanitation that will:

  • Improve the social wellbeing and health of the Nigerian people including poverty reduction through the sustainable WSS service to the people in the rural area.
  • Strengthen the capacity of the sector agencies for better programme implementation and improved management of the operation and maintenance of the sector facilities.
DESCRIPTION OF ACTUAL SERVICES PROVIDED BY US:

DevEmerge along with Strategic Partners is working on to achieve to following scope of work:

  • Conduct situation analysis of the rural areas, including description of the geographical landscape of the state, its hydrology and hydrogeology, the LGA boundaries highlighting the spread of rural area, their demographic profile and their socioeconomic condition.
  • Assessment of relevant policy direction & technical guidelines.
  • Develop WASH Infrastructure Improvement plan.
  • Closing the Capacity Gap.
  • Advising on institutional development, service delivery sustainability and sector governance (Public Policy and Administration).
  • Consolidated Investment Plan.
  • Financial and Economic Analysis.
  • Updating RWSS Data Inventory.
